Bridging the Gap in Medical Training with High-Performance AI
Bridging the Gap in Medical Training with High-Performance AI
Medical education in Latin America still runs on recorded lectures and static PDFs, while the diagnostic reasoning it needs to teach is inherently visual and case-based. We are rebuilding that layer on AI infrastructure that grounds every answer in verified clinical material.
Contrast is a Brazilian healthtech company. We build and operate MedVerse, the software and AI infrastructure that medical education groups use to run their programs: course delivery, AI-generated study material, diagnostic training and clinical case simulation, all powered by our own retrieval architecture.
We are an infrastructure company: we design, own and operate the platform, and our partners bring the medical content and the audience. Programs running on MedVerse reach medical students, physicians and radiology residents across Brazil and Spanish-speaking Latin America.
An AI second opinion built for radiology training. A resident uploads a case, up to eight images across sequences, together with the clinical question, and receives a structured semiological analysis and a differential diagnosis ranked by probability. Every response is grounded in a curated corpus of gold-standard reports written by practicing neuroradiologists, so the reasoning can be traced back to its source.
See Preceptor AI analyse a real neuroradiology case in under a minute.
The retrieval architecture behind our products. We built a proprietary RAG pipeline on Google Cloud, using Vertex AI for retrieval and Gemini for generation, that grounds large language models in a curated corpus of clinical literature, imaging reports and verified teaching material, so that every output can be traced back to a source. It powers content generation, diagnostic feedback and adaptive assessment across the platform.
Our platforms run on Google Cloud: Cloud Run for our backend services, Cloud SQL for data, Firebase for the web applications, and Vertex AI with Gemini for retrieval and generation.
What we are building next
Q3 2026 - Native payments and subscription management on medverse.health, moving our programs off third-party checkout.
Q4 2026 - MRI parameter simulator for Scan Experts: a physics-based engine where residents adjust acquisition parameters and see image contrast, relative SNR and scan time recalculated in real time.
Q4 2026 - Clinical simulation for anaesthesiology and ophthalmology moving from development into production.
MedVerse powers RadExperts, a neuroradiology education group, through a joint venture established in 2026. RadExperts brings the medical content and the academic direction; we build and operate the platform its programs run on: nine graduate and short-course programs delivered in Portuguese and Spanish, from diagnostic neuroradiology to paediatric imaging and Alzheimer's disease.
By the numbers
346 doctors and medical students enrolled
9 education programs live
19 countries reached
2 languages: Portuguese and Spanish
Enrolments across programs running on MedVerse, February to August 2026.
